You are enrolling in a METHYL BROMIDE DEPT OF AG ACCREDITATION

The program will include the on-site practical aspects of Methyl bromide application and live monitoring of containers & sheeted stacks using a range of detection and monitoring equipment. An AFAS student workbook will be provided to each candidate.
The workshop consists of a mix of theory and practical assessments. Students must successfully complete all assessments to be considered competent. Candidates will be required to demonstrate their competency in a real workplace situation, to show that they are able to transfer the skills and knowledge they have acquired during this workshop.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING
Biro, pencil, calculator
Hard copy of DAWR AFAS Methyl bromide Fumigation methodology & guide (this will be emailed to you by ProTrain for printing – upon confirmation of booking)
PPE – full face mask & appropriate respirator cartridge will be required as candidates will be entering the actual designated Risk Area during the practical work tasks.
Gas cannisters required for the workshop should be of the “AX” O type suitable for Methyl bromide. (ProTrain is able to supply these if required, please indicate this when booking).
Suitable clothing and footwear on practical days (typically days 3 & 4) including high visibility shirt or vest, long trousers, enclosed shoes, safety glasses, hat & sunscreen
Fee is inclusive of all venue charges, practical on-site charges, consumables, presentation materials, text books, and handouts.
(Morning tea/lunch is not included and is able to be purchased nearby – at candidates own expense)
Payment can be made via EFTPOS, direct deposit or cheque any time prior to workshop commencement.
