There are three core units of competency associated with General Pest Management
Licencing (and are part of CPP30115 Certificate III in Urban Pest Management)
CPPPMT3005 Manage pests without applying pesticides
CPPPMT3006 Manage pests by applying pesticides
CPPPMT3018 Maintain equipment and pesticide storage area in pest management vehicles
ProTrain workshops are CAPPED AT A MAXIMUM OF 10 STUDENTS to allow for a more pro-active learning environment and more beneficial practical sessions
COURSE ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for enrolment in this workshop and to enable students to apply their training in an industry environment, students are required to either be currently employed, commencing employment or have pre-arranged & documented work placement in the urban pest management sector.
The student must be able to provide evidence of completing at least 15 Urban Pest inspection and management programs under supervision of a qualified pest management technician

DELIVERY
This course is delivered by both classroom and on site practical training delivered over a
5 DAY FACE-TO-FACE WORKSHOP
Monday to Friday
8:00am to 4:30pm
COURSE INCLUDES
On-site practical aspects of professional pest management within both domestic and commercial environments using a range of the latest detection, monitoring and application equipment products and techniques.
ASSESSMENT
The workshop consists of a mix of theory and practical assessments. Students must successfully complete all assessments to be considered competent. Candidates will be required to demonstrate their competency in a real workplace situation, to show that they are able to transfer the skills and knowledge they have acquired during this workshop.
Upon successful completion of the course, those candidates that have provided proof of industry experience will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
(Candidates will then need to apply to the relevant state body - for a Pest Management Licence).
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING
Biro, pencil, calculator to use during assessment, completed logbook
Suitable clothing and footwear on practical days (typically days 4 & 5) including shirt, long trousers, enclosed shoes, hat & sunscreen
Students are encouraged to bring their own torches and any other inspection equipment they may have for the purpose of carrying out Non timber inspections
PROGRAM FEE
Course Fee is $1750.00 free of GST
Fee is inclusive of all venue charges, practical on-site charges, consumables, presentation materials, text books, and handouts.
Morning tea and lunch is also provided within the course fee.
Payment can be made via EFTPOS or direct deposit any time prior to workshop commencement.
ProTrain reserves the right to postpone workshops if minimum numbers are not met.
